About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Richard Marcus Solis or also known as Ricky to many. I reside in a small town in Texas. I love Chinese, Italian, and Mexican food! I’m currently 16 years old and a Junior in High School. I’m very active in my school serving as: Class President for the graduating class of 2010; a member of National Honor Society (NHS); Reporter for Student Council; an editor in the ‘08 - ‘09 yearbook; a 1st-chair trumpet player for my school’s Marching/Concert Band; and a participant in U.I.L events including One-Act Play. Aside from being in the top 5 students in my graduating class and on the Distinguished Plan for graduation, I’m also a member of the Altar Society at my local Catholic church called St. James. I consider myself a good Christian, however nobody is perfect and I do slip up occasionally but everyone can be forgiven. Some of my hobbies out of school include: reading; listening to music; surfing the internet; drawing; photography; playing video games; watching movies; and web/graphic design. As far back as I could move a mouse, I’ve always had a passion for digital art whether it was from creating layouts for MySpace, Xanga, Livejournal, or other blogging-related sites. I’m still young but I believe I have the potential and ambition to do well in a career involving aspects of design. I’m still considering other alternatives if my aspirations do not come true but I will always love to design. In essence, I’m a young kid with a mature mind that possesses a love for creativity and who believes that God will set forth a path to determine the rest of his life, whether its good or bad.
